RCIA (The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
The RCIA Program is offered yearly in our Parish for adults seeking full initiation and participation in the Catholic Church. Those who have never been baptized, have been baptized in another faith tradition, and adults seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation or a return to the Church are invited, along with their sponsors, to attend. Weekly sessions, beginning in September and concluding in April, take place on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. Classes for the 2006-2007 year will begin on September 28, 2006. Catechumens (un-baptized) and candidates (baptized in the Catholic Church or other Christian faith tradition) are offerd a basic course in Catholicism, drawing from the church's teaching of the Creed, Sacred Scripture, Liturgy and Sacraments, morality and prayer.

All parishioners are always welcome to attend RCIA sessions for their own faith growth and as a support to our catechumens and candidates. Our catechumens and candidates are ordinarily received into full communion with our church through the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism (catechumens only), Confirmation and Eucharist.
