Welcome Amigos to Spanish Class
Curriculum (McDougal Littel) St. Joseph School provides an interdisciplinary sequential Spanish program that integrates listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The program incorporates interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational communication. The program examines the products and practices of culture that help create motivating and meaningful connections for the student. The program assists students in becoming competent participants in a global society. Skills are primarily acquired through role plays, following commands, and the reading and writing of stories. The students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 attend Spanish classes two to three times per week.
- Engage in conversations and express information and opinions
- Express likes, dislikes, needs, and personal preferences in well rehearsed situations.
- Use isolated words and phrases with prompts and clues without awareness of grammatical structure.
