St. Joseph Catholic Church and School

In the name of our
Lord, Jesus Christ, Welcome!

I want to welcome you to this parish family and thank you for joining us. We are a Eucharistic community growing in faith toward God and service toward others through our unity with Jesus Christ.

As you explore our website please take note of how much is going on and how many are involved with the work of the parish. We take seriously that the parish is made up of the people of God, as the Second Vatican Council expresses it. We not only encourage you to be involved in your parish but expect it.

This is a parish with a rich tradition dating back to 1859 when the first log church was built and an ox horn was used to call people to Mass. This is also a parish that has continued to move forward, to embrace our present and plan for the future. Pope John Paul II was fond of saying that the Church needs to “push out into the deep.” The years ahead will bring growth. If we are to respond to the needs of this growing community we must continue to evaluate ourselves and our various ministries. We invite you to do that. If you see a need that is not being met, let us know. We will try to respond. Certainly, we will ask you to help formulate that response. Prayer, service and hospitality mark our life together. Our desire is to do all things well to the glory of God.

Once again, I say welcome to St Joseph Catholic Church.
